Welcome to our site!
With the close of 2007, its always interesting to look back at how we did with our goals and our professional progress. Looking at the Healthcare Industry, in particular, it is important to anticipate what may lie ahead. We had touched upon a
number of topics, but here are just a few that I believe will make more noise in 2008EMR, Healthcare reform, and retail clinics.
We believe it is our job to continue to provide guidance and education on key health issues, as well as others that affect how you run your practice. We strive to get you information on diagnostic and pharmaceutical products that help you
treat your patients. I believe there are some trends that will have a significant impact on your business in the coming year technology and the internet, as well as the economy and politics.
Technology is changing the way we all do business; that includes the Physician's Office. I find it interesting that we have had a greater response to products and articles through the internet than through the more traditional method of the tearand-
mail response cards. As a result of your comments we will be introducing some exciting new tools to our website. From your practice page (within the POR website) you'll be able to contact our manufacturers and distributers directly. You
will also be able to get instant answers to your questions regarding pricing, cpt codes and reimbursement, OSHA requirements, specifications for specific testing and so much more, all with just a couple clicks of your computer's mouse.
Imagine the time you will save, getting the information you need fast, before purchasing or prescribing; leaving you with more time to see patients and working with staff, making your practice more efficient and profitable.
In politics, healthcare reform is a big issue in the elections. All I can say is it will be interesting. We appreciate your support during the last year as you have responded to our request of letting us know how we can serve you better. We have continued to make positive changes going into 2008 and hope you will continue to use POR as your resource for product and practice information.
The 2008 Physicians Office Resource Guide can assist you in many ways in the coming year. Learn about the countless new products that may help improve your office as well as the vast resource of hard to find information such as pharmaceutical hotline numbers for adverse reactions, prescribing information, even numbers for patients to call for financial help for prescriptions. There is a large directory of healthcare companies, distributors, EMR & EHR companies, State
Medical Associations, Government organizations, and a calendar of important medical conferences and exhibitions and continuing medical education; and a list of toll free numbers and websites for healthcare agencies ranging from adoption, to
diabetes, to rare disease info, help with aging, fitness; countless speciality associations; a list so long we could only fit a small portion in the magazine. The rest of it can be found here at www.PORBuyersGuide.com. |
